In spite of the comprehensive safety measures, occupational accidents are still relatively common in Germany. However, falls and other injuries that occur during working hours in the office are also classified as work accidents, although they are not directly attributable to work. Classic work injuries, however, are mainly found in craft trades, while the risk of injury in office work is rather low. What exactly should be rated as an accident at work has already been the subject of numerous legal disputes, not least because this also relates to the question of insurance protection. (fp)
